Asian Lemon Chicken Recipe







Ingredients



  • 750 grams of boneless chicken breast cut into pieces
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup of fresh lemon juice
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 lemon peel
  • ¼ cup honey
  • ¼ cup sliced green onions
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • ¼ cup pineapple juice
  • ⅓ cup soy sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Method

  1. In a small pan mix together brown sugar, honey, soy sauce, pineapple juice, lemon juice, vinegar and the lemon peel over medium heat to make a lemon sauce , and stir until sugar melt then set aside.
  2. Mix together salt and pepper with the flour, and dredge the chicken pieces.
  3. Mix together milk, egg, and vinegar, and take dredged chicken, and dip into the egg, milk, vinegar mixture then dredge in flour again.
  4. In a medium size pan, heat oil to fry the chicken pieces on each side until they get brown.
  5. Set on paper towels to catch excess oil.
  6. Toss the chicken pieces with lemon sauce.
  7. Garnish with toasted sesame seeds and fresh green onion.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy.

Best Smothered Cabbage Recipe







Ingredients



  • One lb smoked sausage, cut into small pieces
  • One head of medium size chopped cabbage
  • 1⁄4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • One large diced onion
  • Salt and black pepper to taste


Method

  1. In a large saucepan, brown sausage over medium heat.
  2. Add onion and saute for about 4 minutes.
  3. Add cabbage and cover.
  4. Cook for about 50 minutes and stirring occasionally.
  5. Uncover and add spices
  6. Cook for more additional 5 minutes.
  7. Serve immediately.
