Ingredients
- 1 kilogram of chicken wings
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 cup soy sauce
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
- 3 tablespoons cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 5 halved garlic cloves
- 3 chopped sprigs green onion
- 2 inch piece fresh ginger
- Salt and Pepper to taste
Method
- Preheat the oven to 210 C degrees.
- Set chicken wings over a baking sheet.
- Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
- Bake for about 15 minutes then remove from oven.
- Turn each chicken piece over, take back to the oven and bake for another 15 minutes or until golden brown.
- To make the teriyaki sauce add all sauce ingredients : soy sauce, orange juice, hoisin sauce, vinegar, brown sugar, garlic, green onion, and the ginger to a large saucepan and simmer over low heat for about 12 minutes or until slightly thickened.
- Take chicken wings out from the oven, cast the sauce over chicken wings.
- Take the wings back to the oven for another 20 minutes.
- Serve warm and enjoy.
